Curro Bloemfontein Shines at Freestyle World Championships 2024




Curro Bloemfontein School is beaming with pride as our talented dancers showcased their skills at the Freestyle World Championships 2024, held from June 28-30 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool North, UK. Our students competed against top dancers from around the world and delivered remarkable performances, earning accolades and making us all proud.


Lesedi Kgamanyane (Grade R)

- U/6 Beginner Freestyle Slowdance: Finalist, 7th place out of 60+ dancers

- U/6 Beginner Freestyle Fast Solo: Finalist, 4th place out of 50+ dancers

- U/6 Street Dance: Semi-finalist, Top 9 dancers


Lesedi’s outstanding performances at such a young age are a testament to her dedication and talent. Her achievements in multiple categories highlight her versatility and promise a bright future in dance.


Orefile Kgamanyane (Grade 7)

- U/14 Premier World Championship Slowdance: Semi-finalist, Top 9

- U/14 World Championship Fast Solo: Quarter-finalist, Top 16

- U/14 World Championship Fast Pairs (with partner Fundokuhle Molaba, Grade 8): First round


Orefile’s consistent performance across different categories demonstrates her advanced skills and commitment. Her ability to reach the semi-finals and quarter-finals in highly competitive categories is commendable.

- U/16 World Championship Freestyle Formation Team - Next Level Squad: 3rd place


The dynamic duo of Orefile and Fundokuhle, along with their formation team, secured a 3rd place finish in the U/16 World Championship Freestyle Formation Team category. Their teamwork and synchronization were truly impressive, earning them a spot on the podium.


Fundokuhle Molaba (Grade 8)

- U/14 World Championship Slowdance: Call back to 2nd round

- U/14 World Championship Fast Solo: Quarter-finalist, Top 16


Fundokuhle's prowess in both slowdance and fast solo categories reflects her versatility and dedication. Advancing to the quarter-finals in such a competitive environment is a significant achievement.
