Bloemfontein’s Ramblers Club is once again gearing up to host the highly anticipated Schweppes Bloemfontein Gin Festival, promising gin enthusiasts a delightful extravaganza with an expanded line-up and vibrant live entertainment.
Scheduled to take place on April 6th at the Ramblers Club, this year's festival will showcase approximately 20 craft gin brands from various corners of South Africa, offering attendees an extensive array of gin varieties to tantalize their taste buds.
Deon Mastenbroek, the festival organizer, expressed his excitement about this year's event, stating, "We've worked tirelessly to curate an exceptional line-up of small, craft distillers, ensuring that festival-goers have the opportunity to explore and savor a diverse range of gin creations."
In addition to the impressive selection of gins, attendees can look forward to electrifying live performances by renowned artists, including Dladla Mshunqisi, Tamara Dey, and local DJs. Mastenbroek added, "We want to create an unforgettable experience for our guests, which is why we're also offering lawn games free of charge for everyone to enjoy."
To satisfy hunger pangs, food trucks will be stationed at the festival, serving up delicious snacks to complement the gin-tasting experience. Mastenbroek highlighted the growth of the festival, stating, "This year, we've nearly doubled the number of gin vendors, and we've partnered with a local company to provide world-class sound for our artists."
Tickets for the festival are now available online through Howler for R240 each, which includes a complimentary gin cocktail upon arrival. For those who prefer spontaneity, a limited number of tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate on the day of the event.
With an expanded line-up of gin offerings, captivating live entertainment, and an array of delectable treats, the Schweppes Bloemfontein Gin Festival promises to be a highlight on the social calendar, drawing gin aficionados and music lovers alike for a day of indulgence and revelry.
